“Cave Crawler” vacation house

“Cave Crawler” is in a tiny village near Perušić and river Lika. The house is on a large property which isolates you from the neighbours and gives you the peace you need and deserve. If you like, you can take a walk through an orchard next to the house where you’ll surely find a fresh fruit in the summer. The house itself consists of the ground floor with a kitchen, dining room with an extra bed and a toilet, and a first-floor bedroom with a double bed. Of course, as in most Lika homes, next to the house you’ll find a barbeque.

The location provides the perfect resting oasis whether you come during the winter or summer. River Lika, which has always been a bait for adventurers, fishing enthusiasts and boat-ride through Lika canyon lovers, is in the vicinity. Furthermore, there are several hiking trails nearby, and Cave Park Grabovača is only 10min car ride away. If you need any advice or help during your stay, the kind hosts are always at your disposal.

This house is ideal for a family with one or two children, or a couple in love looking for a perfect spot just for them.

Culture and history infoNature is not the only thing Lika has to offer – cultural and historical heritage is quite diverse. Known fact is that Lika area was inhabited even in the Stone age. Many archaeological findings are displayed in the Museum of Lika Gospić under which protection is the Nikola Tesla Memorial Centre in Smiljan, dedicated to the great scientist. Besides Tesla, in Gospić, or to be more correct, in Veliki Žitnik, the great politician, Ante Starčević was born. The whole Lika area has cultural monuments witnessing its turbulent past. Two Turkish (Ottoman) tower remains- that of Agha Alić and Agha Senković- are thought to be the oldest buildings in Gospić and the foundations of the nowadays city. First Croatian printed book was printed presumably in Lika as well – the sight of the printing office can be seen in Kosinj village.
