Grampa Joja’s Villa 3

This modern villa is filled with facilities for hedonists and those who are yet to become hedonists. On the outside, you’ll notice natural materials – stone and wood. On the inside, once again, stone/wood, wood/stone harmony, a complete asimilation of nature into the interior – you’ll notice white and earth tones prevailing in desing, giving the sensation of warmth and false simplicity. Why false? Because this house is anything but simple – starting from a completely funtional kitchen, dinning area,  living room with a sofa next to a fireplace and a stunning view, and a flat screen TV with satelite and cable programmes, all the way to 2 large bedrooms – each having an extra large double bed and a single bed (another extra bed is available in the living room) and two bathrooms desinged so carefully that you would not mind spending the whole vacation in them! As if all of this is not enough, this house offers a swimming pool and a sauna – complete wellness in virgin nature! Cave Park Grabovača is only 8km away as well as Gospić, Smiljan and MC Nikola Tesla 12km away, and if you fancy a one-day field trip you can visit Plitvice Lakes (47km), Kuterevo (52km) or Krasno Polje (62km).

GospićGospić The city of Gospić is the centre of Lika – the administrative, cultural and traffic centre, which also holds around 50 surrounding settlements in its structure. The city area has been marked with a turbulent past, developing from the Stone Age, through national governments, Turkish invasions and finally becoming acknowledged as the centre of

Sports & nature

Sports & natureGospić is in the middle of Lika field on a crossing of roads and coasts of three rivers: Lika, Novčica and Bogdanica. Outside of the city, you can visit two park forests – Jasikovac and Vujnovića brdo. Interestingly, in the Jasikovac area, in 1900., a tennis court was located and one of the first tennis clubs in this part of Europe was founded. Gospić is surrounded by preserved nature, so you can enjoy light walks or start exploring on bicycles using the many cycling trails in the city and its vicinity.

Culture and history info

Culture and history infoFirst trace of Gospić is mentioned in a 13th ct. document, which, among other things, lists Kasezi settlement on the left shore of Lika river next to the Novčica creek, i.e. in the place where the city stands now. Nowadays, from the Novčica bridge, you can see the remains of Agha Senkovic’s tower, simultaneously, the oldest house in town. After the liberation from the Ottomans, in the 18th ct., a cathedral of The Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary was built, and just a bit sooner – a chapel of John of Nepomuk. Besides, in the city centre, you can see the bronze statue of a girl called “Marta Vodarica”(Marta the Water Bearer) placed in honor of the finalization of the city’s water system. Out of cultural establishments in town, we can point out the Museum of Lika Gospić – part of which is the Nikola Tesla Memorial Centre as well, only 6 km away from town. Noticeable old building in town is the State Archive, under which protection is the Remembrance-home of Ante Starčević in his birthplace called Veliki Žitnik.
