“Hillside Haven” vacation house

“Hillside Haven”, as se the name says, lies under Velebit hillsides and consists of a fully equipped kitchen, living room and two bedrooms with double beds. During the summer, you and especially your youngsters can enjoy the assembly pool next to the house. Not far from the house, Kuterevo Bear Shelter is situated and we advise that you go for a visit and see how the locals are trying to cohabitate with nature in the best way possible.

On an altitude of approx. 600m, surrounded by many hills and hamlets, it has always been a place where humans and bears cohabitated. Culture and history infoComing to Kuterevo and not hearing Kuterevka Dangubica (a special kind of a string instrument) would be a real shame.  This specific tamburitza is listed as cultural heritage, and can still be heard when people gather around for an event, or prelo (Prelo nowadays stands for a simple gathering, but was once a custom where young people would „ hang-out “, meet, look for spouses, prune the wool, pluck feathers, knit, sing and have fun).
