Monsalbius

This beautiful house is in Baške Oštarije, visible from the D25 Gospić-Karlobag main road, but still in a secluded and peaceful location where you will find much needed peace and quiet. Superb location gives you fast access to the seaside as well as the heart of Lika – Gospić. First thing you’ll notice is the wooden structure in the green surroundings, but don’t be fooled. Behind the front door you will see a masterpiece of interior design – a fusion of modern and rustic-mountain style. In a fully equipped modern kitchen there is a kitchen island where you can eat breakfast or simply hang out with the designated chef in your family or a group of friends. Of course, there is the dining table, as well as the outside terrace and grill, so that any meal you prepare will be a pleasure. In the large living room, except for the couch and resting chairs, there is a rocking chair next to the fireplace – can you already imagine the idyllic atmosphere of drinking coffee and reading a book in this ambient? If you are not a booklover, worry not – you have a grand TV, as well as extra-large windows so you can look at the beautiful nature surrounding you, and since the house is inside the Nature Park Velebit, there is plenty of it. House contains two bathrooms, and no less than 4 bedrooms – 2 with a double bed and 2 with 2 single beds each – meaning that the house can accommodate up to 8 people!

If you need a break from the everyday worries, clean nature and air and you like to spoil yourself with comfy, modern and functional accommodation, search no more – this is the house for you!

Culture and history info

Culture and history infoDespite the harsh nature, this area had been inhabited for centuries and tracks of active life are still visible: there are roads built, cultural monuments and sacral objects. Especially intriguing are the remains of what were once shepherds' residences, old mills and water mills and mirila: memorial stones placed in the deceased’s honour, making them interesting for researchers from different scientific disciplines (e.g. http://bib.irb.hr/prikazi-rad?rad=677557 ).
