Udbina

Udbina
This small borough is known to most people as the headquarters of Krbava diocese throughout history and even more as the scenery of the famous Krbava field battle. Less known fact is that this small place in a specific micro location holds the second place in Croatia (after Hvar) for the number of sunny days.
Krbava diocese and Krbava field battle are surely the two most famous facts concerning Udbina, but its symbol today is the Church of Croatian Martyrs – a grand white church on the top of a hill dominates the valley and cannot be missed, even when you drive on the Zagreb-Split highway, you can spot it. Numerous pilgrims come here every year in August.
You have probably drove past it before, but now come and see that Udbina will convince you with its gastronomy, people and position to visit each time you’re nearby.
