Anybody who has travelled on the A1 highway from Zagreb to Split and vice-versa, half way through it, must have noticed this stone-peak hill, standing in Lika field as of somebody placed it by hand. Name of the hill is Zir*, whether because it served as a surveillance point or because you simply must stare at it when you see it, it is still unclear; it is 850 meters tall and one of Lovinac jewels. Zir attracts hikers, for easy access (as we said, it is positioned on a field) as well as the gorgeous view. Here you’ll find a cave with a lake as well, so cave enthusiasts will be satisfied as well. If you find yourself in the vicinity, stop by, gaze up on this mountain, or gaze down from it, whatever you prefer, we guarantee you will not be disappointed!
