Krbava area was always an important historical region of Lika – the headquarters of Krbava diocese and the scenery of the famous Krbava field battle. Many people still have very little knowledge of this area. Nowadays, the headquarters of Krbava is Udbina watching over the Krbava field as a guard. Notable places to see nearby are Štrbački buk on the river Una as well as Una springhead just a bit to the south. Near the city Gračac, a popular fishing destination lake Štikada is situated and one of Croatian shiniest pearls, the Cerovac caves. Above the Štikada lake and Cerovac caves stands the Velebit mountain, whose most attractive access to the Paklenica National Park and its peaks (Holly Hill and Vaganski peak) is placed exactly on the Lika’s side.
So, do not wait, find your vacation house and start exploring this unknown part of Lika- Krbava!
